Annie - a pretty horse in the snow. She's waiting for her breakfast so she's paying no attention to the camera.
Scout is usually a pretty happy guy. In fact, his ears were pricked forward as we walked into the ring to take his picture. And then he saw the camera.... seems he doesn't like having his picture taken. His ears went back in dismay.
So of course, Bonnie had to fix that. And Scout looks happy (sort of) again!
Here's a nice black and white picture of Mary, one of only two mares on our string. She's a very gentle soul. It looks like she's trying to catch up with her friends here. All of our horses were rented out for the Circle F's annual Poker Ride fundraiser - we were glad to be part of the event. It's always a fun day and it's for a great cause. Thanks again for the terrific photos, Jennifer!
Another great photo from Jennifer at Paws & Tails of our horses working on the 2013 Circle F Poker Ride. That's Annie's beautiful buckskin bum on the left and Traveller's Appaloosa a** on the right (horses, that is, not people!)
It was another terrific fundraiser poker ride for the Circle F horse rescue. Glen Valley Stables was the official trail ride sponsor this year and all of our horses were out helping the cause. From left to right, you can see Freckles, Annie, Zack and Traveller, with Pilgrim tucked in front of Annie. Thanks, Paws & Tails, for the great photo!
The weather was perfect, the horses were great! Here's a photo of Sara and her husband, Byron, at one of our view spots. If it had been clear, we'd have seen Golden Ears mountain in the background and Baker in the other direction. Instead, the clouds kept us nice and cool. Thanks for riding with us!
(That's Pilgrim on the left and Freckles on the right. Freckles looks none too happy about having to lift his head out of the grass for the photo op....)
It was a perfect day for a ride. The horses, from closest to farthest (and left to right) are Buddy, Zack, Freckles, Annie and Traveller. Not all of them have their pictures up on the Our Horses page but at least you can see all their bums here!
This is Andrea's family. They came all the way from Newfoundland for a BC vacation. The dad was very happy to be riding a horse called Buddy (he's at the back) - with a name like that, they were sure he was a Newfie horse! You can see their review on our home page. You guys were great!
Here's where we share photos and memories of some of our guests and the horses they get to call their own for an hour or two. Saddle up!
